Set The Date: 10th Anniversary Re-Release of Lemonymous Coming This Year!

by Joint Custody Productions / Wednesday, 28 January 2015 / Published in News
Ender Bowen - Lemonymous Cover

As 2015 marks ten years since the release of Ender Bowen’s third album Lemonymous, EnderBowen.com is announcing that the album will be re-released later this year!

The album will be completely remixed and remastered, packaged in a full-color fold out wallet and include a 16-page full-color booklet.

A secondary, never-before-released companion album, Lemonymix, will also be released in a full-color jacket, and will include remixes and alternate versions of the Lemonymous songs, as well as rarities from that time period.

“I had originally planned to re-release the album in 2020, on its fifteenth anniversary behind the fifteenths of previous albums Neon Apocalypse and Scarlet Dawn,” says Bowen. “But with a new album coming out later this year, I wanted to take advantage of the tenth anniversary and start creating a buzz after having spent the past few years away from the music.”

That, notes Bowen, is the big deal about this particular re-release. In order to put the album and its remix companion out, the singer will have to raise approximately $1200 in funds.

“It’s really not a lot, and I think it’s entirely doable,” Bowen says. “But rather than go through someplace like PledgeMusic – which I think I may use in the near future – I’m going to collect donations through my official site, utilizing a similar packaging model that crowdsourcing sites like PledgeMusic use.”

The campaign to raise funds is expected to launch March 15th (the original release date of the album) and run through April 30th. If all funds are raised, the album should ship in July. If more than enough funds are raised, the excess will be used for production of Ender Bowen’s new album, due later this year.

Bowen states that that album will likely need to go through a fundraising process as well, but at that point a genuine crowdfunding site may be utilized. “We’ll just have to see how Lemonymous does and what is required of the new album.”

The upcoming re-release of Lemonymous is just the first stage in a succession of intended re-releases, with Neon Apocalypse expected in 2016, Redux in 2017, and Scarlet Dawn in 2018, each on the 15th anniversary of their initial releases.
